Party conversations can change a character's bonus stats; Vision-sanctum questions do not stop you obtaining the Vision. Identify which kind of conversation you are in before choosing. A reply that grants MP is a build choice, while a sanctum answer that sounds unsuitable is not a failed recruitment.
The table below covers the seven party conversations recorded in the launch guide. Its later rows reveal character names and locations through Chapter 5. The answer cues are summaries; use the option number and the scene to identify the corresponding reply in your game.
Party dialogue rewards in story order

| Closing Chapter 3 scene in Olderion — Nichol | Request more strategy advice: +10 HP | Reassure him about the team: +3 Magic | Encourage his suggestions: +3 Speed |
| Rebel Hideout after clearing the Weapons Factory in Chapter 4 — Lasswell | Comment on stronger magic: +10 MP | Refer to the Ignis battle: +3 Strength | Comment on his movement: +3 Speed |

These mappings come from Game8's dialogue guide, updated October 22. They identify the attribute reward rather than a universal best response. For example, the first Fina response supplies MP; the third supplies Spirit. Those are different benefits, so choose according to how you are developing her.
Do not infer rewards from how encouraging a reply sounds. The first Lasswell answer mentions magic but awards MP, while another grants Strength. Read the scene and compare the actual outcome rather than matching a word in the dialogue to an attribute.
Vision questions do not need perfect answers
Sanctums present conversations about the associated Final Fantasy hero. You still receive that Vision after the questions, even if the Will of Light's response suggests your answers were a poor match. IGN's Vision-location guide explicitly distinguishes that narrative response from the unlock result.

You therefore do not need to reload a sanctum simply because the conversation sounds negative. Continue through the exchange and check your Vision list. This applies to the sanctum question sequence; it does not turn every unrelated quest or paid option into a consequence-free choice.
Choose for the reward, without assuming a new story branch
For the party scenes above, the documented consequence is the listed stat bonus. The available evidence does not establish an alternate ending, romance route, or party departure tied to those replies. Do not treat a small stat selection as proof that you have changed the campaign's direction.
If a particular reward matters to your build, keeping a separate save before a conversation is a practical precaution. This guide does not claim that the game offers a later refund or a menu for reassigning dialogue bonuses.
