The PS5 Platinum requires the story, substantial optional content and a postgame boss; there is no difficulty trophy. You can choose Casual. The list contains 40 trophies: 1 Platinum, 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 28 Bronze. Ultimate Fantasy unlocks after the other 39 trophies.
For the full-game PS5 route, PowerPyx estimates 4/10 difficulty and 50–60 hours. Its launch guide reports no missable trophies, one required playthrough and full-map exploration after the story. These are the guide author's findings, not an official completion-time promise or a guarantee for later patches. This page covers the PS5 trophy route researched on October 22, 2026; it is not a claim that every platform handles achievements or imported demo saves identically.
Plan around collecting Visions, completing character substories and preparing for Ultima Weapon. This is a roadmap and requirements checklist, with selected practical routes below. It does not provide a verified map pin for every collectible. Late-game objective names and recruitment milestones appear below.
A route that avoids unnecessary grinding
- Finish the eight story chapters while collecting nearby Tablet Shards. Rotate a character's equipped Vision after reaching MR9 so later battles keep developing useful abilities. Use Resonances regularly instead of leaving the 400-use requirement until the end.
- Use the airship to revisit unfinished content. It arrives at the start of Chapter 5. Follow up character substories, optional Visions and Espers; leave fights that overwhelm your party for a later visit.
- Build your late-game equipment. Recruit Aileen through Forger of Wills in Dilmagia and collect Adamantite for her weapons. Collect the Ancient weapons needed for the twelve Chamber of Arms trials. These are separate crafting and trial objectives.
- Finish the remaining optional battles and upgrade chain. Complete all 15 Cave Masters, the three trophy-bearing Colosseum leagues and Mechabo's quests. A return trip through Dragon's Maw can cover two specific enemy trophies.
- Reload a cleared save for Ultima Weapon. Prepare a party with reliable healing, status protection and MP recovery. Check your remaining trophy list afterward; Resonance uses may still need cleanup.
PowerPyx reports that quests and collectibles remain available after the ending. That makes a second playthrough unnecessary on its reported route. Keep manual saves as normal progress backups, but there is no supported reason here to restart because you skipped an early side objective.
The collection targets that change your plan
Several goals sound similar but count different things. Use this table to avoid doing extra content for the wrong trophy.
| Objective | Trophy requirement | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Party | Recruit all 8 members; finish every member's substory | Recruitment does not complete their substories. |
| Visions | Obtain all 26; reach maximum MR with 8 Visions | Ownership, awakening stars and character-specific MR are separate progress systems. |
| Espers | Gain the help of all 9 | The first milestone is 3 Espers. |
| Cave Masters | Defeat all 15 | Earlier milestones count 1 and 5. |
| Aileen's weapons | Craft a weapon for each of the 8 party members | Each weapon costs one Adamantite after recruiting Aileen. |
| Legendary Arms | Obtain all 12 | The later level-75 trials for upgraded + versions are unnecessary for trophies. |
| Tablet Shards | Deliver 60 for Memento | PowerPyx's full Platinum route calls for 89 of the 99 shards overall, rather than stopping at Memento's threshold. |
| Colosseum | Finish Fledgling, Brawler and Gladiator leagues | Each has 5 fights. Champion League is not named in the trophy requirements. |
| Battle milestones | 1,000 Staggers and 400 Resonance uses | A Stagger is not itself a Resonance activation. |

Story and party trophies
All eight chapter-clear trophies are story milestones. Their names are listed so you can match your trophy screen without exposing the plot events that award them.
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| A Journey Begins | Finish Chapter 1. |
| Those Who Unite the Skies | Finish Chapter 2. |
| Olderion Blues | Finish Chapter 3. |
| Viva la Revolución | Finish Chapter 4. |
| In Search of the Truth | Finish Chapter 5. |
| And the Winner Is… | Finish Chapter 6. |
| Past Glory | Finish Chapter 7. |
| Aspiration's End | Finish Chapter 8. |
| Those Who Defy Fate | Recruit every party member. |
| Conscience Renewed | Finish all party-member substories. |
| Kweh! | Obtain a chocobo. |
| Airship Enterprise | Obtain the airship. |
The full-game guide places the chocobo in Kol during Chapter 1 and the final party member in Chapter 5. Substories remain a separate task for all eight characters; do not assume that having the complete party also awards Conscience Renewed.

The Chapter 1 chocobo scene helps identify the story milestone for Kweh!
Visions, awakening and Espers
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| The First Step Towards Mastery | Reach maximum Mastery Rank with one Vision. |
| Awakened Light | Fully awaken one Vision. |
| Visions Assemble | Collect 10 Visions. |
| Will Crystallized | Collect all 26 Visions. |
| Vision Connoisseur | Reach maximum MR with 8 Visions. |
| Esper's Covenant | Gain help from 3 Espers. |
| The Sovereigns of the Planet | Gain help from all 9 Espers. |
MR9 and three-star awakening solve different requirements. Mastery grows through MRP earned in battle and belongs to the character using that Vision. Cloud at MR9 on Rain does not become MR9 on Lasswell when moved. Awakening is a shared upgrade to the Vision itself.

MR grows through battle MRP for a Vision and its wielder; awakening stars are a separate upgrade.
For Awakened Light, visit a Moogle of Light and upgrade one Vision through the three stages: Magicite Shard, Magicite, then Magicite Cryst. PowerPyx places the first Magicite Crysts in Chapter 5. For Vision Connoisseur, the useful habit is to rotate completed Visions during ordinary progress; there is no need to assume you must maximize every Vision on every character.
Oblivion Palace, crafting and upgrades
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Princess's Reward | Receive your first Oblivion Palace reward. |
| Memento | Restore the enigmatic princess's second memory. |
| The Weapon that Suits the User | Have Aileen craft your first weapon. |
| The Weaponsmith | Have Aileen craft weapons for all party members. |
| Ancient Artifact | Obtain your first Legendary Arm. |
| Legendary Arms | Obtain all twelve Legendary Arms. |
| Mechabo Mania | Finish Mechabo's ultimate upgrade. |
At Oblivion Palace, delivering three Tablet Shards opens access to the first chest reward. Memento needs 60 shards returned to the princess, enough for the first two treasure rooms. The guide says claiming every chest in those rooms is not required to trigger that second memory. Continue tracking shards afterward if you are following the broader Platinum collection route.
Aileen is recruited by completing Forger of Wills in Dilmagia, the Machinopolis. She then works on the airship deck. Budget one Adamantite per character's crafted weapon; obtaining one weapon only covers the first crafting trophy.
For Legendary Arms, the airship opens the Chamber of Arms northwest of Dirnado. Each trial needs its corresponding Ancient weapon first, and some Ancient weapons become available later. The initial trials have level-50, two-stage enemies. Complete all twelve initial trials for the trophy; leave their level-75 + upgrades outside your trophy checklist unless you want the equipment.
Mechabo's chain begins at Dwarven Forge in Chapter 2 after the Mobliz Shipyard events. Verun's Arise, Mechabo! requires two Dynamo Stones from Ipooh near the forge. Continue through Mechabo Evolved, then return from Chapter 5 onward for Mechabo Unleashed. Its later Malbodoom objective requires Chapter 6 access to western Gronoa. Finishing the early repair alone does not meet the ultimate-form requirement; return the later materials and speak to Verun on the airship.
Optional fights and the Dragon's Maw trip
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Just Getting Started | Win every Fledgling League fight. |
| Arena Fighter | Win every Brawler League fight. |
| Career Fighter | Win every Gladiator League fight. |
| Magicite Hunter | Defeat 1 Cave Master. |
| The Bigger They Are… | Defeat 5 Cave Masters. |
| The Harder They Fall | Defeat all 15 Cave Masters. |
| Struck Gold | Defeat a King Gil Snapper. |
| Priceless Experience | Defeat a Metal Gigantuar. |
| My Name Is Ultima… | Defeat Ultima Weapon. |
The Colosseum opens in Chapter 4 in Grandshelt, the Royal Capital. The green, blue and purple registration tables correspond to Fledgling, Brawler and Gladiator respectively. Complete all five fights in each of those leagues.
For the two rare-enemy trophies, PowerPyx describes a route through Dragon's Maw on the southern tip of the Kingdom of Pharm. You can reach the entrance with the Chapter 5 airship, but its recommended level is 55; early access is not a recommendation to force your way through immediately.
Traverse the dungeon to emerge on a small forested island. Random encounters there can contain a Metal Gigantuar, King Gil Snapper or Gigantuar. The similarly named Gigantuar is an MRP enemy, so it does not replace the Metal Gigantuar required for Priceless Experience.
The King Gil Snapper absorbs elements other than Ice and has high physical defense. Bring Ice magic for Struck Gold. The Metal Gigantuar has high evasion and can flee; PowerPyx suggests Dualcast with strong magic as one approach to making more attempts before it escapes.
For Ultima Weapon, reload a cleared save and follow the airship scene pointing to Ardra Crater in the southeast. The launch guide describes a level-70 boss and recommends late-game equipment and developed Visions before the fight. Its successful setup uses healing and Reraise support, status protection, MP management and Sakura's Eternal Veil against Ultima Beam. This is an example strategy, not a required party or a guaranteed win at a particular level. PowerPyx's Ultima Weapon section gives the equipment and ability dependencies for that setup.
Money and battle-use cleanup
| Trophy | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Gil Comes and Goes | Spend 100,000 gil in total. |
| Making Lid Proud | Earn 1,000,000 gil in total. |
| Keep Them on Their Toes | Inflict Stagger 1,000 times. |
| Resonance Rapid Fire | Activate Resonances 400 times. |
| Ultimate Fantasy | Unlock all the other trophies. |
Making Lid Proud counts cumulative earnings; you do not have to hold a million gil at once. Normal purchases contribute to Gil Comes and Goes, so buying useful equipment can advance it without a separate spending session.
For the combat milestones, exploit weaknesses to build Staggers during regular battles. A Resonance requires an equipped Vision and a Sweeping Stagger: stagger every enemy within the same turn, then select the Resonance at the end of the bonus phase. Reaching 1,000 Staggers therefore does not prove you have completed 400 Resonance uses.
If Resonance Rapid Fire remains after your other objectives, PowerPyx suggests leaving one weak enemy and healing that enemy between Staggers so it survives the repeated setup. Use a party-healing Resonance such as Leah's or Ayaka's rather than a damaging one for the repeat cycle. Treat that as an optional cleanup method. Using Resonances throughout the story reduces how much repetition you may need later; the amount depends on your own battle count and play style.
