Final Fantasy Resonance Fina

Quick Answer

Fina joins during Chapter 1 after leaving Grandshelt. She is a bow-wielding Medic with healing, status recovery and Light attacks; her skills and recruitment are separate from Archwitch Fina.

Fina joins your party during Chapter 1, after Rain and Lasswell leave Grandshelt. She uses a bow, fills the Medic role and develops healing, recovery and defensive support alongside Light attacks. You recruit her through the story, rather than through a Sanctum or an optional Vision challenge.

This page covers the playable Fina. Archwitch Fina, also called Dark Fina in some character databases, has a separate combat kit and recruitment schedule. Her Saboteur abilities should not be used as a checklist for this character.

When Fina joins

Continue the opening story with Rain and Lasswell until the party leaves Grandshelt. Fina is the first additional party member you recruit in Chapter 1. Her recruitment is part of story progression; the later side quest named Shimmering Reflections is not the requirement for meeting her.

The current character roster places her recruitment in Chapter 1 and distinguishes it from the later party members. You do not need to collect every early item or complete every optional fight before continuing toward her arrival.

The skills that change her job in battle

Fina's early kit gives you more ways to respond to damage as she levels. The useful breakpoint is the recovery action you need, rather than a single target level for every encounter.

LevelNew optionWhat it lets you handle
3CureRestore an ally's HP with her own white magic.
5EsunaRemove status ailments other than KO.
8PrayCombine HP recovery and status recovery on an ally.
11ShellImprove one ally's magic defense.
14Light VeilBlock a status ailment or debuff once across the party.
17CuraMove up to a stronger single-target healing spell.
23RaiseBring back a KO'd ally with part of their HP.
25Radiant RestorationGain her second Limit Burst, which revives fallen allies and restores HP.
26Arcane GuardReduce damage from a magic attack once across the party.
29ShellgaApply magic-defense support to the party.
35CuragaGain a stronger HP-restoration spell.
53 / 59Arise / ReraiseAdd full-HP revival and automatic revival support.

These are level-learned abilities, not a claim that each spell is available immediately when she joins. The levels agree between the character skill database and her individual character sheet. In particular, Esuna and Raise solve different problems: clearing an ailment is not the same as reviving a KO'd ally.

Use her turn for the problem that threatens the party

When an ally is close to falling, healing keeps your next action available. When an enemy repeatedly applies ailments, prevention or status recovery can be more useful than another damage spell. Shell and Shellga address magic defense; they are not general answers to every physical attack.

Holy Ray, her initial Limit Burst, and Shining Arrow give her Light damage options from the start. That means she can contribute offensively when recovery is unnecessary. It does not make spending every turn on damage the best choice when she is the party's main source of healing.

This is a role recommendation, not a forced build. Your other characters and equipped Visions can cover some of those jobs, leaving Fina free to contribute differently.

Choose a Vision to fill a missing job

The menu separates Fina's personal role from her selected Vision and equipped abilities.

Fina's personal skills and her equipped Vision are separate sources of abilities. Decide what the party lacks before committing to a pairing. An additional recovery option can help a fragile team; a different element or a Breaker option can widen what Fina contributes when nobody needs healing.

There is no single mandatory Vision on this page. Early recommendations often focus on reinforcing her healing, while broader character databases offer pairings that add another role. Those recommendations answer different needs. Use the separate Vision guide to compare the choices rather than treating one recommendation as a permanent character restriction.

After the story introduces Espers, Fina is also the character who calls them through the Summon Esper command. Recruiting Fina and acquiring an Esper are separate steps: having her in the party does not unlock the full summon roster.

Identify her voice and character sheet

Fina is voiced by Lizzie Freeman in English and Akane Fujita in Japanese. Archwitch Fina has different voice credits. If a skill list emphasizes Dark attacks, a whip or the Saboteur role, you are looking at the other character's sheet.
