Final Fantasy Resonance Deluxe Edition adds the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack to the base game. The US Steam and PlayStation listings show $59.99 for Digital Deluxe and $49.99 for Standard. You can also buy the Deluxe content separately, so buying the game first does not require buying the entire game again to obtain the pack.

The pack contains a chocobo appearance change, an item that unlocks a particular character's Fel Meteor Limit Burst, an accessory and consumables. It is not simply a cosmetic bundle, and it is not the Collector's Edition with physical merchandise. The game releases on October 22, 2026; the edition details below describe the purchase offer available before launch.

Choose the bundle or the separate upgrade

Choose Digital Deluxe if you want the base game and this pack together on one storefront. Choose Standard if you want the game without paying for these extras at checkout. If you already own Standard, look for the Digital Deluxe Upgrade, rather than another listing that includes the base game.

The difference between the two complete digital editions is $10 in those US listings. That comparison applies to those full-game bundles. It does not establish the separate upgrade's current price in every region, and it does not mean that a purchase on one platform supplies the pack on another.

If you already have a Collector's Edition order, inspect that order before buying any digital upgrade. The North American complete Collector's package includes an upgrade code sent by email. Buying a separate upgrade while waiting for that code can duplicate the content you have already ordered. A goods-only collector box is different: that product excludes both the game and the Deluxe upgrade.

Everything in the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack

There are eight item lines in the pack. Quantities below are the bundle quantities; they are not drop rates, crafting requirements or the contents of either timed purchase-bonus pack.

The eight-item pack is separate from preorder rewards; collect it after the required progression at Mitra.

The Armor Key and the Grimoire are the distinctive reasons to compare this pack with Standard. The consumables offer a starting stock, but their presence does not establish that Standard players are missing a chapter, a difficulty mode or the ability to finish the story. The bundle description does not identify any extra story expansion.

Likewise, the Mastery Ring's inclusion is not a reason to assume an unspecified percentage bonus. Keep the purchase decision tied to the item that is actually listed. If a precise effect or bonus rate matters to you, read the item's description when it is available in your game rather than assigning a number to it before purchase.

Claim Deluxe items at the Mitra postbox

Buying the correct edition and claiming its items are separate steps. The pack becomes claimable after you have progressed past a certain point, using the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra. Do not expect every included item to appear during the opening scene.

  1. Confirm that you own Digital Deluxe or the separate upgrade on the platform where you are playing.
  2. Continue the story until you reach the Town of Mitra and the relevant point of progression.
  3. Find the inn, then look for the postbox in front of it.
  4. Claim the available pack items there.
  5. Check your inventory before buying additional content because you cannot see an appearance change yet.

The published instructions do not give an exact number of minutes before the postbox unlocks. Following the story is more useful than waiting on a timer. They also do not specify a universal launch-day entitlement-refresh procedure, so there is no reason to delete a save or reinstall the whole game as an initial response to an unclaimed pack.

If you bought a physical Collector's bundle, distinguish the game's package from the upgrade delivery. The North American bundle ships the physical Standard copy with the goods box, while the Deluxe upgrade code arrives by email. Receiving the disc or cartridge does not itself demonstrate that the emailed upgrade has been redeemed.

Turn on the chocobo appearance after claiming the key

The Magitek Armor Key changes a chocobo's appearance. Once it is claimed and the appropriate feature is available, open the main menu's Items section and turn the key ON. This is an appearance toggle; possession of the key alone is not a promise that every story scene will immediately show an armored chocobo.

The names are easy to mix up. The Deluxe item is the Armor Key for the chocobo. The Magitek Airship Passkey belongs to the preorder reward and changes an airship's appearance. They are different items for different vehicles, even though both use magitek styling.

When checking a screenshot or inventory entry, match the complete item name. Searching only for “magitek” can send you to the wrong reward. If your airship changes but your chocobo does not, that does not prove the Deluxe pack failed: you may be looking at the preorder item instead of the Deluxe Armor Key.

The Grimoire has a different purpose again. Its listed function is to unlock a particular Fel Meteor Limit Burst, not to change either vehicle. Do not describe the Grimoire as another skin, and do not treat an unapplied chocobo appearance as evidence that the ability-unlock item is absent.

Keep Deluxe content separate from timed purchase bonuses

A Digital Deluxe listing can show several benefits at once because the purchase may qualify for timed promotions. Those promotions are not the permanent definition of Deluxe.

The Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack is the preorder bonus. The Squire Kickstart Pack is the early-purchase bonus. The Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack is the paid edition content discussed here. Their similar names do not make them interchangeable.

This matters if you compare editions before and after launch. A Standard preorder can qualify for the preorder promotion without becoming Digital Deluxe. Conversely, buying Digital Deluxe after a preorder promotion ends does not establish eligibility for a reward whose terms expressly require a preorder. Check the promotion shown on your selected storefront rather than assuming that the more expensive edition extends every deadline.

Early-purchase windows also vary by platform. The English Steam offer gives November 6, 2026, at 8:59 a.m. PT, while the US PlayStation offer gives November 5 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Those conditions belong to the early-purchase pack; they do not define when you must buy the separate Deluxe upgrade.

Match the upgrade to the game you actually own

Before paying, check three things together: the platform, the storefront and whether the listing includes the base game. This prevents the most avoidable edition mistakes.

A Steam upgrade should be evaluated against your Steam copy. An Xbox entitlement should be evaluated against the Xbox listing. Xbox Play Anywhere is not a promise that a separate Steam purchase receives the same upgrade. Similarly, owning one Nintendo edition does not establish that the other Nintendo edition or its save data is included.

For physical purchases, also match the region of any included or separately purchased digital code to the account where you plan to redeem it. The Collector's bundle description specifies that an upgrade code is supplied; it does not establish universal redemption across all regional accounts. Make the compatibility check before opening or redeeming a code rather than treating the word “Deluxe” as sufficient.

Avoid buying a second complete Digital Deluxe bundle merely because the upgrade is not obvious in a retailer's search results. Look for a product explicitly described as an upgrade and read whether the base game is required separately. The complete bundle and an add-on can have similar art while granting different things.

Decide whether the extras matter to your playthrough

Digital Deluxe is easiest to justify when you specifically want the armored-chocobo appearance and the Grimoire's listed ability unlock. Those are concrete features you can compare with your preferences. The extra inventory is secondary: more Tents or recovery items may be convenient, but convenience is different from a verified requirement for progression.

Standard remains the straightforward choice if your priority is the adventure itself. You can try the free demo, which covers Chapter 1 and supports save carryover, before committing to the additional pack. The demo's existence does not require you to purchase Deluxe to assess the basic presentation and combat.

If you are undecided, separate two decisions: whether you want the game, and whether you want this particular set of extras. The separately sold content gives you a way to consider the second decision without automatically repurchasing the first. Compare the actual upgrade offer at the time you buy; do not assume that waiting always preserves the original bundle price difference.

After purchase, keep your check focused: correct entitlement, sufficient story progress, Mitra postbox, then the correct item or appearance toggle. That sequence follows the stated delivery method and avoids confusing the Deluxe pack with a preorder promotion, an early-purchase reward or a physical collector shipment.
