The Final Fantasy Resonance pre order bonus is the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack. It contains six item lines, including an airship appearance change, a weapon, EXP-related armor and consumables. It is available to customers who preorder, rather than customers who buy after release on October 22, 2026.
A second promotion, the Squire Kickstart Pack, is an early-purchase reward with a later deadline. Keep those two offers separate: buying shortly after launch can fall within an early-purchase window without qualifying for the preorder-only pack. Both use the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra after sufficient story progress.
The six preorder reward items
| Preorder item | Quantity | Stated purpose or limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Magitek Airship Passkey | 1 | Changes the airship's appearance into a magitek vessel |
| Knight's Greatsword | 1 | Included weapon |
| Chestplate of Preparation | 1 | Increases EXP gained in battle by an unspecified amount |
| Magicite Shard | 1 | Included item |
| Tent | 3 | Included consumables |
| Mist Potion | 3 | Included consumables |

The preorder reward has its own eligibility condition, distinct from the later early-purchase window.
The Chestplate's description establishes an EXP benefit but does not publish a percentage. Do not plan a leveling route around an invented multiplier. Likewise, the presence of a Greatsword does not establish that it remains your best weapon throughout the story. These are starting benefits, not a published promise that you can skip later equipment decisions.
The Passkey deserves particular attention because an appearance change is easy to mistake for a missing item. Its function is tied to the airship and an inventory toggle. It does not mean that you receive an immediately usable airship at the beginning of the game, nor that the story's vehicle-access requirements disappear.
Check the complete pack name on your order. The word “Squire” appears in both timed promotions, while “Magitek” also appears in Deluxe content. A receipt that lists one reward family should not be treated as proof of all three.
The separate early-purchase reward
The Squire Kickstart Pack contains two item lines:
| Early-purchase item | Quantity | Stated purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Blessed Cuirass | 1 | Increases gil obtained by an unspecified amount |
| Mist Ether | 1 | Included recovery item |
This is not a replacement name for the preorder pack. It is a separate reward with its own eligibility period. The distinction matters most if you buy around launch: an early purchase can still qualify for this two-item pack after the preorder opportunity has ended.
The gil increase on the Blessed Cuirass is not a published guarantee of a particular income rate. Avoid assuming a percentage or comparing it numerically with the Chestplate's EXP effect. They affect different rewards and belong to different promotions.
If your checkout lists both packs, preserve that order information. If it lists only the early-purchase pack, do not assume that the absence of the preorder pack is a delivery error. Eligibility should be checked against the purchase date and the offer attached to that specific edition and storefront.
Early-purchase deadlines by storefront
The deadlines below are the conditions in the English-language storefront offers. They are kept separate because the stated time zones and platform rules differ.
| Storefront | Early-purchase cutoff shown |
|---|---|
| Steam | November 6, 2026, at 8:59 a.m. PT |
| US PlayStation | November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time |
| US Xbox | November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. local time |
| US Nintendo Switch 2 listing | November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST |
| North American physical store offer | Limited time, while supplies last |
These are early-purchase deadlines. They do not extend the separate requirement to preorder for the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack. A later date shown beside the Squire Kickstart Pack should not be read as permission to buy the preorder reward after release.
Do not substitute the deadline from another platform simply because the item names match. Read the version and region attached to your offer, especially if you are buying through a physical retailer. A digital timestamp does not establish how a particular retailer allocates limited physical bonus stock.
Claim rewards at the Town of Mitra
The stated collection point is the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra. The instructions also require progressing past a certain point in the game. They do not say that the rewards must appear during the first battle or opening cinematic.
- Confirm which pack your purchase qualifies for.
- Start or continue the game on the account and platform associated with that purchase.
- Follow the opening story until you reach Mitra and the relevant progression point.
- Find the inn and inspect the postbox in front of it.
- Claim the available items and check them by their complete names.
- Apply the airship appearance through the Passkey toggle when the relevant vehicle feature is available.
Mitra is part of the opening adventure, but there is no published minute-by-minute claim timer in the offer. Progress through the story rather than leaving the game idle. A reward that is not available before the specified progression point is not, by itself, evidence of a failed preorder.
Keep the collection point distinct from an ordinary shop or a general inn service. The instructions identify the postbox outside the inn, so buying items from a merchant or resting at the inn does not replace that interaction. If you reach Mitra and are checking the wrong interface, the specific landmark is the most useful correction.

Progress to Mitra, then use the postbox in front of the inn to claim eligible items.
Enable the Magitek Airship appearance
After claiming the Magitek Airship Passkey, open the main menu and enter Items. Turn the Passkey ON to change the airship's appearance. This is the published method; the preorder offer does not describe a separate vehicle-upgrade menu or a crafting recipe.
Do not confuse the Passkey with the Magitek Armor Key. The Armor Key is part of the paid Deluxe pack and changes a chocobo's appearance. The preorder Passkey changes the airship. Activating one is not a test of whether you own the other.
The distinction also prevents an unnecessary repurchase. If your question is how to make the airship look like the preorder illustration, buying Digital Deluxe is not the correct substitute for checking the preorder Passkey. If your question concerns the armored chocobo, the preorder Passkey is not the relevant entitlement.
The illustrations show the intended reward theme; they do not promise that every scene or viewpoint will look identical. Check the inventory item and the stated toggle first. Avoid treating a different camera angle or a vehicle that has not yet become usable as proof the appearance item is missing.
Deluxe does not automatically mean every bonus is included forever
Digital Deluxe adds the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack. That paid content includes its own Armor Key, Archwitch's Grimoire, Mastery Ring and consumables. It is separate from the preorder pack and the early-purchase pack.
A Standard preorder can qualify for the preorder promotion. A Deluxe purchase can qualify for timed promotions only when its own offer and purchase timing meet their terms. The higher edition name does not override a deadline that explicitly limits eligibility.
The North American complete Collector's Edition includes a physical Standard copy and a Digital Deluxe Upgrade Code, but that structure does not turn every collector product into a complete game bundle. The separately sold Collector's Goods Box excludes the game and the upgrade. Buying merchandise alone is not the same thing as preordering a game copy with a reward offer.
Equip the rewards you intend to use
Claiming a pack and choosing equipment are different actions. Read the weapon and armor descriptions in your own inventory before replacing an existing loadout. The offer names the Chestplate's EXP benefit and the Cuirass's gil benefit, but does not establish how those effects combine with other equipment or whether they remain your preferred choice in every battle. Keep a useful defensive item rather than automatically replacing it solely because a new piece came from a promotion.
Check a missing reward without losing track of eligibility
Start with the order, then progression, then the item. That sequence separates a purchase issue from a collection issue and an appearance issue.
| What you observe | What to check first |
|---|---|
| No preorder pack is listed on the order | Purchase timing and the specific retailer's offer |
| The game has only just started | Whether you have reached the required progression point |
| You are in Mitra but cannot find the rewards | The postbox in front of the inn |
| You claimed a key but see no airship change | The Magitek Airship Passkey under Items and its ON state |
| You see a chocobo-related key instead | Whether you are checking Deluxe content rather than the preorder reward |
| A physical shipment is delayed | The retailer's shipping status and how its bonus is supplied |
A shipment arriving after release is not the same question as whether the order was placed as a qualifying preorder. Conversely, an order placed after release should not be assumed eligible merely because it arrives during an early-purchase window. Keep the order date, the delivery date and the pack's conditions separate.
If the order qualifies and the stated collection steps still do not resolve the issue, keep the receipt, platform and exact missing pack name ready for the retailer or platform's support process. Do not delete your save to test a timed promotion, and do not buy another full edition merely because an appearance toggle has not been applied.
The useful final check is specific: the correct qualifying order, the correct reward family, enough story progress, the Mitra postbox and the correct item. Those details explain how to obtain the advertised benefits without confusing a preorder reward with an early-purchase promotion or paid Deluxe content.
